Some radio photos -- then, and now...

An early portable radio I built, using 6V6 xmtr, 6SN7 rcvr and rectifier tube. I used this station quite often. It all fit nicely into an attache case.
K7JYE in 1968. Just out of the Army, and just married, the station was an Eico 753. At left is a TCS-12 xmtr/rcvr/pwr supply that was like new and worked well. Case under desk is the portable radio.

A neat little homebrewed radio, 3 tubes built into a small suitcase.

In 1970 the station was upgraded to a TR3/RV3 combo I bought from W7FXZ, an R-390 receiver from MARS, and a teletype machine that never worked!
In 1983 we moved to Brea, CA, and I was fortunate to have this Collins S-Line. Unfortunately it was in the garage. ARC-5 receiver (below) is from my Novice days.

In 1971 the station was state of the art. Drake TR-3 and a Collins R-390 receiver. The teletype never did work!
