Some radio photos -- then, and now...

The first brand new radio was this Icom IC-735. Do you recognize the Commodore computer (at left)? Nice set-up, and finally I'm in the house.
Another station, but this was designed for DX and contesting. A TS-930 with Henry amplifier. ARC-5 station at left put out 10 watts. Homebrew rig (at top) was also fun.

The station in 1986 was an Icom IC-735 with a Yaseu amp. Note the Commodore computer at left for RTTY.

About 1993 the station was set up for contesting with a Kenwood TS-930s and a Henry amplifier.

One of several awards I received for operating in the JIDX contests. This was the 40m First Place award in 1998.
Operating on 40m with an ARC-5 xmtr/rcvr. Both units are very original, although keying was changed on xmtr. Only 10w output, but no chirps!

In 1995 there were computers and awards. This one is a plaque for winning a Japanese radio contest.

Although 2000 saw a state of the art TS-850s transceiver, I still enjoyed using an old ARC-5 station on 40 meters.
